Sometimes what we need most is not a change of scene – but a change of mind.
On this half-day retreat, Kadampa teacher Nathalie will guide us through simple and deeply relaxing meditations that help us disconnect from mental busyness and reconnect with a peaceful and spacious state of mind. When we take the time to rest our minds and let go of stress, we discover that peace is not something that exists “out there” – it already exists within us.
Through three sessions of short teachings and guided meditation, we will explore how we can take a meaningful inner break from the constant demands and worries of everyday life. We'll learn to let go of distractions and enjoy a mental space that feels calm, clear and refreshing – like taking a vacation without ever leaving the city.
Everyone is welcome. No previous experience is required.
Teacher
Nathalie guides this retreat. She is a student in the Foundation Program and has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 2009.
Her teaching is appreciated for being both practical and accessible. She looks forward to a retreat to recharge our batteries with an inner vacation.
