On 18 November, Copenhagen will hold municipal and regional elections.
Everyone from EU countries, Iceland, Norway or the UK or who have lived in Denmark for 4 years or more have the right to vote – and your voice can help shape the city you live in.
Join Copenhagen Post Connect Club and candidate to the city council in Copenhagen Kristine Ammitzbøll-Bille for a walk through central Copenhagen to visit City Hall (Rådhuset), Parliament (Folketinget), the Supreme Court, and the Prime Minister’s Office, where we’ll talk about:
🗳️ An introduction to Danish democracy
🗳️ What this election means to you
🗳️ How to vote as a non-Danish citizen
🗳️ What it’s like to run as a candidate
Bring all your questions about politics and voting in Copenhagen!
The walk will take about one hour, and afterwards you’ll know everything you need about the elections and how to cast your vote.
For those who would like to network, we will end with self-paid coffee and conversation at a nearby café.
📅 Date & Time: October 12 at 1pm-2.30pm
📍 Meeting Point: The statue of H.C. Andersen at City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen). We will finish at the same place.
👉 Please wear comfortable shoes and maybe bring a bottle of water. We’ll walk in all kinds of weather, and everyone is welcome 🌈🩷
We hope to see you – and feel free to share the invite
