About the event

COPENHAGEN EXPAT WALK’N’TALK: Voting Rights for International Citizens in the Cph Local Elections
On 18 November, Copenhagen will hold municipal and regional elections.
If you are from another EU country, or if you have lived here for 4 years or more, you have the right to vote - and your voice can help shape the city you live in.

🚶🏼‍♀️Join me for a walk through central Copenhagen to visit City Hall (Rådhuset), Parliament (Folketinget), the Supreme Court, and the Prime Minister’s Office, where we’ll talk about:

🗳️ An introduction to Danish democracy
🗳️ What this election means to you
🗳️ How to vote as a non-Danish citizen
🗳️ What it’s like for me to run as a candidate

Bring your questions - whether about politics, voting, or life in Copenhagen as an international!

The walk will take about one hour, and afterwards you’ll know everything you need about the elections and how to cast your vote 🩷

🍹☕️ For those who would like to network, we will end with self-paid coffee and conversation at a nearby café.

📅 Date & Time: November 9 at 1pm-2.30pm
📍 Meeting Point: The statue of H.C. Andersen at City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen). We will finish at the same place.

👉 Please wear comfortable shoes and maybe bring a bottle of water. We’ll walk in all kinds of weather, and everyone is welcome 🌈🩷

I hope to see you - and feel free to share the invite 💌

About me

I’m Kristine Ammitzbøll-Bille – mother of three, married to former Member of Parliament and Minister of Economy and the Interior, Simon Emil Ammitzbøll-Bille. I am self-employed and running for the municipal election in Copenhagen for the Social Liberal Party (Radikale Venstre).

I have always loved and lived in the city. My key issues are fighting air pollution, building a greener Copenhagen, promoting equality, and improving conditions for children. When it comes to expats, I am especially focused on better onboarding when moving to Denmark, as well as stronger support for education and jobs.

I hold a degree in Social Science from the University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen Business School, and later supplemented this with studies in cultural and literary history. I also lead city walks about women in Copenhagen. Together with my husband, I co-authored “Alle Danmarks Kvindelige Ministre” (All of Denmark’s Female Ministers), published by Gyldendal in 2024.
