Wildflower time! 🌸
For our first wildflower walk of the season we visit Emu Mountain (the Hakea Walk).
This is an easy wander through scenic heathland, offering an opportunity to view beautiful wildflowers in season right now.
Those who came on last years will walk will remember the inspiring array of blooms, and it will be great to see what else we can find this time.
About Emu Mountain: Beautiful coastal heathland fringed with paperbarks and eucalypts, including fragrant blue gums and pink bloodwoods.
***Meeting point: entry to the Hakea Walk is 200m beyond the entry to the Emu Mountain Walk (close to Coolum High School)

Suitable for: all interested in flora, fauna and nature journaling.
Bring: morning tea, water, nature journaling tools such as notebook, colour pencils and/or watercolours.
There is no table at this location, so we can sit on a stool (if you want to carry) or the ground to make entries in your nature journal.
Enclosed shoes, hat, sunscreen are also recommended.
