Elemental Joy Hymn Sing & Book Launch

Please consider joining in a hymn sing & book launch onsite at West Concord Union Church (bring some singers with you!) or online (use the worship link on the West Concord Union Church website). My new book of hymns, Elemental Joy, includes texts for well-known tunes and new compositions by Sally Ann Morris, Ben Brody, Kate Williams, Mark Miller, Anneli Loepp Thiessen, and Adam Tice. Topics range from issues of justice such as disability access, LGBTQ affirmation, bodily autonomy, and environmental care; to human experiences of grief, comfort, loneliness, hope, and growth; to expansive explorations of Christian stories and seasons. I will talk a bit about the backstories behind some of the pieces and why I think it's important to keep creating new songs for churches to sing. But mostly, we will be singing with the help of amazing WCUC musician Jim Barkovic and others.
