Baz Luhrmann's 1996 Romeo and Juliet
Presented By:
Hornby Youth, Arts, and Central Cinema
This Spring Hornby students read William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. They invite you to enjoy the film with them on August 25th at the Community Hall. There will be a brief panel before the screening and a community discussion afterwards. Please bring your insight into the what the Bard has to say.
Luhrmann's adaptation offers an incredible soundtrack, lush cinematography, fantastic acting, and a very modern take on this oldest story of love at first sight. Look out for the posters the students made around the island, invite your friends, and get advance discounted $10 tickets at the gas bar. Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio take the leads in a stunning cast of talent!
The film is rated PG-13 and Common Sense Media suggests it's for young adults. We suggest youth bring an adult.
Doors and Concession opens at 7, the student panel is at 7:45, and the screening starts at 8.
