Free Admission Day: Jeffers Petroglyphs

Four days a year, the Minnesota Historical Society will provide FREE admission to its historic sites and museums! Take this opportunity to learn more about our state's history, at no cost to you.

Admission includes self-guided and guided tours. Sign up to take a guided tour of the petroglyphs/rock carvings upon arrival. Staff will lead a 45 minute tour of the rock face pointing out carvings and share historical and archaeological information along the way with insight from Native American Elders.

The free Statewide Star Party will take place afterwards from 7-11 pm.

Funding for free admission is provided by the State of Minnesota's Legacy Amendment, through the vote of Minnesotans on Nov. 4, 2008, and our generous donors and members.
