Born in Mesa, Arizona and now based in Los Angeles, Shapel is a high-energy, one-of-a-kind comedian known for blending punk rock passion with powerful storytelling. A former award-winning cheerleader turned stand-up comic, Shapel brings a unique voice shaped by his real-life experiences—like being adopted by a white family at 15, living by a punk rock code, and jumping from Phoenix open mics to opening for Bill Burr, Hannibal Buress, and Brendan Schaub.

Named a New Face at the Just For Laughs Festival in 2019, Shapel now headlines clubs across the country—and he’s coming to Columbus for one unforgettable night.
