Join us Sunday, August 24th for our first big river cleanup in the Columbus area! This event will be sponsored by Franklin County Metro Parks as well as BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse! Both organizations have agreed to team up with us and supply delicious food as well as essential cleanup supplies and plenty of kayaks for everyone!
We are expecting a large turnout for such a cleanup, so we will be seeking booth volunteers that would be interested in helping with the logistics of the event such as running the booth and passing out food when it arrives.
The main parking area will be near the boat launch site at the south end of the park. If the lot fills up quickly, there will be rangers nearby to direct traffic to the surrounding parking areas and a short walk would be required.
This is a general admission event, which means no sign ups are necessary for general participation. Anyone over the age of 10 is allowed to use the kayaks provided by the park staff. If you are interested in becoming a booth volunteer, please email TJ

Every participant and volunteer will get to enjoy delicious deep dish pizza courtesy of our newest sponsor BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse! We will also have soda and cold waters for everyone. The event will go rain or shine so dress accordingly!
Volunteer set up starts at 10:00am, followed by a staff briefing at 10:30, and the cleanup will start right at 11:00am with the pizza arriving sometime around 2pm.
We are very excited to make a huge difference right here in Columbus. We hope to see you there!
