Community Back to School Blessing of Backpacks and Pool Party

Join us for a special service to bless students, teachers, and staff as they head into a new school year. We’ll pray over backpacks, lift up our educators, and remind our kids that they are deeply loved by God. The Blessing of Backpacks Worship starts at 10:30 am at Columbiana United Methodist Church on Main Street next door to the courthouse. Come dressed as you are and be sure to bring backpacks for special prayer of protection and blessing for the new school year.

The Pool Party will be at the 500 Club on Washington Street from 3-6 pm. (across from Elvin Hill Elementary School) We will serve hotdogs, chips and popsicles. Parents/grandparents/guardians must attend the pool party with students under 13.

Bring your backpacks, bring a friend, and let’s start this school year rooted in Christ’s love.
