The Long Reach Community Association and the Columbia Association are teaming up with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to provide a free fishing tutorial geared for children ages 8-15. The tutorial reviews casting technique, angler ethics, catch and release, fish identification, safety, as well as a dedicated time for participants to fish. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at Jackson Pond in Long Reach from 8-10 AM. All fishing equipment will be provided. Please bring any personal gear you may need (hats, water bottle, etc.). Children of all ability and experience levels are welcome!
Event is FREE and open to all Columbia Residents.
