Great Backyard Bird Count

The Great Backyard Bird Count is a free, fun, and easy event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of bird populations. All you need do to participate is watch and count birds for 15 minutes or more, at least once over the four days, February 13-16, 2026, and record your findings online at birdcount.org. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations.
