The State Museum invites you to Flock Fest, Sat., March 21st! This special event features hands-on activities, gallery tours, birding opportunities and programs presented in partnership with organizations from across the state. Activities included with museum general admission!
Enjoy a live "Raptor Experience" from the Avian Conservation Center and witness the power and beauty of birds firsthand.
Participate in a gallery tour of the new exhibition, "South Carolina Wings of Wonder"
Explore the new exhibition, "Bird Photographer of the Year"
Join the statewide iNaturalist birding challenge
Learn about bird photography in a special presentation
Interact with partners to discover opportunities for birding and other outdoor activities in your community
Discover birding items available in the "Library of Things" from Richland County Library
Plus, food truck(s) will be on site for lunch and snacks!

10:30 a.m. | iNaturalist presentation with Grant Foster from USC Biology
11:15 a.m. | "Dinosaur & Bird Connections" presentation with SCSM Natural History Curator, Dr. Scott Persons
12 p.m. | South Carolina Wings of Wonder tour led by Dr. Scott Persons
1 p.m. | "Bird Friendly Backyards and Native Plants" presentation by Jennifer Tyrrell of Audubon
2 p.m. | Bird Photography presentation by Don Wuori of CNPA
