Discover the joy of painting with watercolor in this fun and accessible beginner workshop. Whether you're brand new to watercolor or looking to refresh your skills, this workshop will guide you through the essential techniques to get started with confidence. Learn how to create beautiful washes, soft gradients, and expressive brushstrokes while gaining control over the fluid and unpredictable nature of the medium. Through a series of small, approachable compositions, you'll experiment with color blending, water control, and pigment flow—building a solid foundation for your watercolor journey. Perfect for absolute beginners or anyone wanting a creative reset. Supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop and Carolyn will discuss supplies during the workshop. Feel free to bring whatever watercolor supplies you may already have. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to play—come make magic with water and color.
Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
