LEARNING FROM LEOPARDS
By Noah Falklind & Hannah Gormley
Thu 17th July, 6 pm – Jasmine Hall, BMICH
Leopards – elusive, mysterious, and majestic – are among the most difficult animals to find and film. Wildlife filmmakers Hannah Gormley and Noah Falklind spent over three years tracking these remarkable big cats across Botswana, capturing their lives for productions like Netflix’s Living With Leopards
In this riveting presentation, they’ll take you behind the scenes of life in the wild: the long waits, the rare rewards, and the deeply personal lessons learned from living with leopards. Discover how they cracked the code of finding a leopard, the risks and joys of filming them, and how storytelling can drive global conservation. Expect secrets, surprises, and rare footage of never-before-seen leopard behaviour
This lecture also marks the lead-up to Sri Lankan Leopard Day on August 1st – a vital call to action to protect our own iconic and endangered apex predator
