Looking to get creative this summer? Join us for a series of hands-on workshops designed for teens and adults who want to explore art, history, and self-expression in a fun, relaxed setting!

Each session offers a new opportunity to learn a skill, try something new, and connect with others in the community—all surrounded by the inspiring stories of Collierville’s past. Workshops are free, and materials are provided. Space is limited, so be sure to register early!

Join us at the Morton Museum for an immersive and family-friendly presentation that dives into Collierville’s surprising and rich dairy heritage. Spanning over 150 years, this program traces how Collierville rose from the ashes of the Civil War and the hardships of the Great Depression to become a major player in Tennessee’s dairy industry. Discover how fertile land, resilient farmers, and inventive machinery helped transform Collierville into the “Cheese Capital” of West Tennessee. From early bovine settlers to the Swift & Co. cheese plant, and from the lively Cheese Carnivals of the 1930s to today’s Dairy Day celebrations, this presentation covers it all. You’ll even learn the science behind milking and milk processing—and end the experience by crafting your very own mozzarella cheese to take home. Whether you're a history buff, a cheese lover, or just curious about Collierville's past, this is a program you won’t want to miss!
