Follow the Forest Wildlife Linkage Assessment Workshop

Join the Hudson Highlands Land Trust and the Housatonic Valley Association on October 4, and discover how YOU can help protect a nationally significant wildlife corridor at this FREE event!

In this training at Butterfield Library, you’ll learn about the Follow the Forest initiative and how to support it as a community scientist by using the Wildlife Linkage Assessment Tool to assess key connectivity points and collect data on how wildlife species navigate roadways and move between forest habitats. The program is open to participants ages 16+.

The event begins at 10 am with an indoor presentation. Afterward, we’ll head to an assessment site and put what you’ve learned into action, assessing a wildlife linkage as a group. Registration is required using the link.
