The molinete giro is a staple move in tango and there are so many ways of spicing it up. Scadas are an exciting addition to the molinete as they harness the rotational movement and amplify it giving a wonderful swoosh. Good technique, axis control and footwork for both leader and follower and a connection that enables a genuine lead and follow are necessary to be able to get that swooshiness and we will focus on those details.
The technical skills vital to achieving this will be taught in great detail and you will be given options to make it attainable and satisfying whether you want an ambitious challenge or a simple introduction to the concept. You will also be given exercises for homework designed by Miriam Gita to help you develop the strength, control, flexibility and balance necessary to dance Argentine tango well.
