About the event

Nature's Natural Lanterns

Enjoy the dazzling displays of lightning bugs with the Red Clay rangers!

Learn why fireflies blink, how they are able to glow, and the role they play in our natural environment. We will have a few activities and a ~0.20-mi hike around the park in the dark as we learn about lightning bugs and any other nighttime critters that may cross our path.

Flashlights and a few headlamps will be available for use during the program, but feel free to bring your own!

Space is LIMITED. Visitors MUST sign up in advance to participate.

**Children ages 2 & under are able to attend for FREE.
