Summer Reading Kickoff!

• Toddlers can visit our Maker's Station to create a summer sensory jar.
• Kids ages 6+ can attend a special workshop with Katie Wood, author of A Simple Seed of Growth, Gratitude & Giggles, a morning journal for kids and their caregivers. Learn how journal writing can help develop qualities like kindness, honesty, empathy, and respect!
• Everyone can pick up their Summer Reading Journal, use it to record titles they read throughout the summer, then it return for prizes!

Katie Wood is a thought leader, entrepreneur, and author of A Simple Seed of Growth, Gratitude & Giggles. In 2014, she transitioned from a 10-year career in teaching special education to fully embracing entrepreneurial life. Katie speaks frequently at training events and schools and is also developing several business ventures. A Simple Seed has been featured on The TODAY SHOW, NBC, Entrepreneur Magazine, and several podcasts. Katie was a walk-on to a Division 1 Basketball team at Providence College and a two-year captain. Among her successes, Katie credits her most rewarding role as that of mom to her four wild and fun-loving kids and a fire-wife.
