📍 Location: Harbour Drive (City Centre) to Brelsford Park, Coffs Harbour
Join in the spectacular and historic event as 725 Squadron of the Royal Australian Navy returns to Coffs Harbour to exercise its Freedom of Entry – a ceremonial tradition dating back to medieval times.
The parade will start at 10.30am from the western end of Harbour Dr and it will meet the police challenge near the City Square, before proceeding to Earl St and onto Brelsford Park.
This grand parade will feature:
🔸 Over 100 sailors and officers marching through the City
🔸 A live marching band
🔸 A thrilling flypast by Seahawk helicopters – with one landing in Brelsford Park for public viewing
️🔸Merchandise tent with memorabilia including patches, shirts, and hats
Followed by a family friendly event in Brelsford Park including:
🔸 Free sausage sizzle
🔸 Face painting
🔸 Entertainment from the Coffs Harbour Regional Brass Band
🔸 Games and more
About 725 Squadron:
With a proud history of service, 725 Squadron has played key roles in:
🔸 Vietnam War troop escort missions
🔸 Rescue operations during the 1974 Nowra floods
🔸 Support during the 2019 Black Summer Bushfires
🔸 Training and deployment of MH-60R Seahawk aircrew
This is a rare opportunity to witness military tradition, honour our Navy, and celebrate the strong bond between Coffs Harbour and 725 Squadron.
