Witness to History: A Personal Account of Incarceration During WWII
Join us for an unforgettable evening with Sam Mihara, who was just nine years old when his family was forcibly removed from their home and imprisoned at Heart Mountain during World War II.

More than 120,000 Japanese Americans were incarcerated in camps by the U.S. government during the war. Through personal stories and historic photographs—from Dorothea Lange and the Mihara family collection—Sam offers a rare firsthand account of this painful chapter in American history.

Over 100,000 people across the country have experienced this powerful talk, which reminds us why protecting civil liberties is essential—especially in times of fear.
