Mural Installation by John Hitchcock

This July, the Plains Indian Museum welcomes acclaimed artist John Hitchcock (Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and Comanche) for a live mural installation titled Buffalo, Deer, Bird, alongside artwork by Emily Arthur (American). Inspired by themes from the upcoming exhibition Buffalo Nation: The History of Our Future, the mural will visually link the Buffalo Gallery and the People and Land of Many Gifts Gallery—celebrating the enduring connections between land, people, and buffalo.

Don’t miss this opportunity to watch John Hitchcock at work as he creates a powerful visual narrative rooted in Native traditions and the living landscapes of the Great Plains.

Artist will be assisted by Andie Almond and FiFi Lipscomb.
