About the event

Operation: Broken Rotor
“Helicopters down. Intel lost. NATO and Rebels race to the wreckage—secure the black box or lose the West.”

About this Event

Operation: Broken Rotor – Event Description

Two NATO helicopters have gone down outside Cochrane, Alberta after being struck by heavy rebel RPG fire. Before the crash, onboard systems captured reconnaissance photos that could expose hidden militia training camps across the West. That intel is now lost in the wreckage, and both NATO and Rebel forces are racing to secure it.

For NATO, this mission is critical. Securing the black box and recon data means halting the spread of rebel influence and exposing their secret operations. For the Rebels, seizing the wreckage means more than just propaganda—it means turning NATO’s own technology into a weapon for their growing insurgency.

The crash site has become a frontline. Control of this wreckage will decide the next phase of the war. Players will fight to recover intel, secure survivors and equipment, and deny their enemy any chance of victory. Whether you stand with NATO or rise with the Rebels, every squad’s actions will shape the outcome.

Gear up, choose your side, and prepare for a high-intensity Milsim Lite experience. The clock is ticking—and only one force will control the crash.

Operation: Broken Rotor – Lore

Situation

In early October, NATO command suffered a major setback. Two helicopters scheduled to insert forces into Minden, Ontario were ordered to abort their touchdown after rebel forces overran the landing zone. The entire NATO contingent already deployed in the area was confirmed KIA or MIA, leaving Minden in complete Coalition Rebel control.

That defeat sent shockwaves through the command chain. Ontario, once a stronghold of NATO presence, is now a propaganda victory for the rebels. Their influence is spreading fast.

The helicopters diverted for immediate refuel, their crews shaken but ready, and were re-tasked with a new mission of critical urgency.

New Intelligence

NATO intelligence intercepts and reconnaissance reports indicate that militia cells in Cochrane, Alberta have surfaced after years of remaining dormant. These are not disorganized fighters — they are disciplined, well-equipped, and politically motivated.

For years they trained in secrecy, but now they’ve aligned openly with the Coalition Rebels, celebrating the Ontario takeover and vowing to bring their fight westward. Rebel propaganda outlets are broadcasting their victories and calling for more recruits to join their cause.

The Cochrane militia camps are believed to be training hubs, preparing fighters for larger coordinated operations across Canada. NATO High Command cannot allow this threat to metastasize. Orders have been given to establish a lockdown perimeter around Cochrane and neutralize the growing militia presence before they expand.

Mission

Two NATO helicopters were dispatched with reinforcements and equipment bound for Cochrane. Their task: deliver troops, secure the AO, and contain the militia threat before it can spread.

But as they closed on their landing zone, the mission went sideways.

Both helicopters were ambushed by heavy RPG fire. Pilots attempted evasive maneuvers, but multiple strikes forced them down. The crash sites are now hotly contested, and NATO has lost immediate comms with both crews.

Despite the chaos, onboard systems successfully captured high-resolution surveillance photographs of rebel activity on the ground. Those images, if recovered, may expose the exact locations of other hidden training camps across Alberta. But under fire, the crews were unable to transmit them to HQ before impact.

Objectives

NATO and Rebel forces are now racing toward the wreckage. Control of this crash site will determine who gains the advantage in the coming campaign.

NATO Objectives

● Establish a secure perimeter around the crash site.

● Recover the black box and onboard reconnaissance data.

● Secure and extract any survivors, sensitive equipment, or weapons.

● Deny the enemy access to the wreckage at all costs.

Rebel Objectives

Seize and hold the crash site before NATO can consolidate.

● Capture the black box and surveillance data to expose NATO weaknesses.

● Salvage or destroy NATO equipment to fuel propaganda.

● Prevent NATO from re-establishing control over the area.

Commander's Warning

This is not just another operation. The crash site is the frontline of a bigger war. If NATO succeeds, the rebels’ expansion is stalled, and their hidden camps will be exposed. If the rebels win, they will weaponize the wreckage, rally new recruits, and spread their insurgency deeper into Canadian territory.

Failure to secure this intel risks the balance of power in the West. The outcome of this battle will shape the next phase of the war.
