CEDD Module #8: Engaging Customers: Service, Stories, and Sales

This series of Entrepreneurial Development workshops (CEDD Modules) are funded by PrairiesCan (Federal Govnt) and Community Economic Development and Diversification (CEDD).

Cost:

• Route 22 Artist Collective Members - FREE)
• Non-Members - $10 (plus GST)

What to Expect:

This workshop is designed for artists working within a collective, where welcoming visitors and creating meaningful connections is a shared responsibility. Together, we’ll explore how to:

• Service – Provide a warm, professional, and memorable experience for every visitor who walks through the door.
• Stories – Share the inspiration behind your own work while also being able to speak confidently about the art and practices of fellow collective members.
• Sales – Support the collective’s success by recognizing buying cues, guiding conversations toward purchase decisions, and celebrating sales as a team effort.

Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, participants will gain the skills to confidently represent themselves and the collective, ensuring visitors feel valued, informed, and inspired to engage further.

By the end of the session, artists will have tools to enhance the customer experience, strengthen the collective’s reputation, and contribute to shared growth and success.

• A notebook and enthusiasm to learn, role play and engage!

About the Artist / Presenter:

Jo-Anne Oucharek

Jo-Anne Oucharek is an award-winning wildlife photographer with a passion for capturing the raw beauty and hidden stories of nature. For her, photography is more than images—it’s about connection, sharing not only the photographs but also the stories behind them.

Alongside her creative work, Jo-Anne leads her consulting company, Innovators Advantage, where she draws on years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and small business training to support entrepreneurs. These skills provide the foundation for helping businesses strengthen their core, build strong customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service.
