Sofia Zadar is a musician, performer, drag king and multidisciplinary artist. In their Experimental Pop compositions, they construct and unravel emancipatory futures through a neuroqueer and feminist lens. Aesthetically, they mix together highly processed electronic sonic structures, organic textures, spoken word narratives and intricate vocal harmonies. The fictional worlds they build function as anchors in a dystopian present and fragments of an already emerging new world. In 2021 they released the EP Lyra, an ecofeminist meditation on communities and collective transformations, and in 2023 they returned with Hictopia, a pop odyssey that digs deeper than the cognitive structures imposed by capitalism and links the human body back to its natural rhythms. Their debut LP, Ecotranarchy (2025), traces a spiralic journey from hopelessness to a relentless sense of wonder at the infinite interrelatedness of things.
