This full-day workshop is presented by CCADT and sponsored by the California Veterinary Emergency Team, UC Davis - School of Medicine.

The workshop offers a combination of lecture and hands-on instruction on small animal decontamination. Depending on availability, demonstrations will be conducted on Search & Rescue (SAR) dogs, K-9 officers, and shelter dogs. Please note, this workshop is only open to CCADT volunteers, animal control, law and fire agencies. It’s by invite only - please do not post this flyer on social media.
Workshop Objectives
✔ Identify hazards associated with common contaminants
✔ Understand behavior traits of common household pets
✔ Understand human/ animal safety issues associatedwith decontamination
✔ Perform basic functions of all positions in an animal decontamination line
There is no charge for the workshop; however, there is some PPE that is required (tyvek suit, goggles, and face mask).
Beverages, snacks and lunch will be provided.
