Geology Rocks!

Join us for a fun filled day exploring geology!

Discover more about the rocks and minerals we see and use every day. Challenge our experts by bringing your own rock for identification. There's lots of drop-in fun activities throughout the day so be sure to bring your young geologists along.

We're delighted to welcome back brilliant geologists Barry Roberts and Robin Grayson to the museum. Barry has worked in the international geology industry for over 30 years whilst Robin Grayson has worked all over the world. Robin has also written about Clitheroe's reef knolls, helping Salthill become a geology nature reserve.

We think geology is amazing. Find out which rock humans can eat? Did you know some rocks can float? An event not to be missed!
