Adventure Trip - ACA Intro / Essentials Skills & Camping Weekend

Before I begin... This is an ALL WEEKEND EVENT. MAY 23, 24, 25.

Come join Kevin for a weekend of on-water intro and essentials kayak training at Round Valley. We will look to review intro and intermediate assessment(s), work on rescue, and take advantage of the challenges of the reservoir.

This is a sanctioned and guided ACA L1/2 trip - NOT A CERTIFICATION CLASS. There is a limit of five (5) participants who have taken our Intro to Kayaking or a Level 1 ACA class or equivalent class.

This is a primitive but sheltered camping/on-water trip with a 5.5-mile paddle to the site location. There will be a two online, Zoom, meetings prior to the event to discuss both water skills and camping requirements.

In these meetings we will discuss:

This Trip Includes:

• Camping registration
• Parking Permit / Pass
• Meals and snacks (To be discussed during the pre-trip meetings)
• Toiletries & Effects
• Full ACA L1 Review / L2 Rescue Review

On-Water / Boat Requirements:

• Kayaks 14-feet or longer
• Touring / Sea Kayaks Only
• NO PADDLEBOARDS, INFLATABLES OR FOLDABLE KAYAKS

Paddling Events:

• Guided group tour to and from the campsite
• Sunset Paddle (Friday - Saturday)
• Sunrisd Paddle (Saturday - Sunday)
• One four-hour level 1 training sesions (Friday)
• One four-hour level 2 rescue workshop (Saturday)
• Completion Paddle to Lot 2 - Drop-in/out location

Proceeds from this trip will be used for our mission- Paddle… Float… Feed.
