Motown: Poetry of Young America - Adam White

No slouch himself when it comes to the written word, Bob Dylan was famously said to have called Smokey Robinson "America's greatest living poet". Motown has many music fans, but we sometimes overlook the quality of the poetry that helped shape the music. Based on a lifetime study of the Sound of Young America, Adam White will be talking about Smokey Robinson, Janie Bradford and the other great lyricists of the label, as well as taking your questions.
