This month, we're mixing things up with a brand-new ride for our regulars who are ready to level up! Our Pedaling Infidels: Advanced Ride will take place entirely within the beautiful Lake Louisa State Park and will feature a little more distance and a few more hills than our usual routes.
🚗 Admission + Arrival Time:
Meet at the Beach Parking Lot at 8:30am. The park entrance fee is $5 per vehicle (2–8 people) or $4 for a solo vehicle. It takes about 12 minutes to drive from the gate to the ride start point, and there could be a short wait at the entrance—so give yourself extra time to get there!
🌳 The Route:
We’ll ride a full loop around the park’s paved roads—about 10 miles. You can stop after one loop (around an hour) or go for a second lap and clock 20 miles total (about two hours). The roads are curvy, hilly, and very lightly trafficked, so it’s a great place to challenge yourself while still keeping things safe and relaxed. And don’t worry—we’ll help with gear shifting tips if you're new to hills!
☀️ What to Bring:
There’s not much shade on the course, so sunscreen, water, and sun-smart clothing are a must.
🍽️ Post-Ride Plans:
After the ride, we’ll decide if we want to grab a bite nearby (location TBD based on where everyone’s coming from) or just kick back at the park.

Beginner and intermediate riders will be fine on this "no-drop" ride, meaning we will not let anyone fall behind and get separated from the group.
You MUST wear a helmet and sign a waiver of liability (do this in advance to save time). A parent or legal guardian must sign for, accompany, and be responsible for all persons under the age of 18.
You only need to sign the liability waiver once. You can print, sign, and bring, or we will have copies at the event:

We will roll exactly at the start time unless you message us that you are running a bit late and we see the message before leaving. The ride leader and host, Doug, will arrive 30 minutes before the start time.
Please make sure tires are pumped, you have water/snacks as needed, and are prepared for other contingencies. A spare tire tube would be a good idea if you have one. If you don't have special bike clothes, that's totally fine! Wear comfortable athletic attire that will not get caught in your bike.
Please have Emergency Contact Information on you (not in your phone). If you have something like a RoadID please wear it; otherwise a paper in a baggie with the information on it will work as well.
Feel free to comment or message Doug if you need more information. If you need to cancel, please change your RSVP to NO so other riders don’t have to wait for people that never show up. If you are running late, please call Doug.
WEATHER
We will monitor the weather in the event conditions do not look favorable. Unless the event is cancelled by 7 AM, the event will happen as scheduled. Check in here and monitor this event if you are unsure.
