In Episode 7 of 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗬 (𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 x 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱) Season 2, we feature 𝗗𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘂 (he/they), a Kuala Lumpur-based multidisciplinary storyteller, theatre-maker, and facilitator whose work explores queerness, migration, identity, and diaspora through the lens of his Tamil and Malayalee heritage. His projects have been featured on platforms such as HowlRound Theatre Commons, Vice India, and Vice Asia. He is currently the Artistic Director of Theatresauce and a Fellow in T:>Works’s Artistic Directors Academy (2024–2025). Joining him is 𝗔𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗺, a Singapore-born musician currently performing with the traditional Malay band Nobat Kota Singa, where he plays a variety of percussion instruments, including the rebana. Aameer’s musical style blends digital and natural percussive sounds, reflecting his dynamic background in both contemporary performance and traditional art forms.

𝗠𝗜𝗔𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 淼舞 is proud to present 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗬 (𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝘅 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱), an hour long improvisation jam between one theatre practitioner and one musician / sound artist.

Exploring the intersectionalities and possibilities of the sonic and physical realms, the performance project aims to promulgate the concepts of improvisation, exploration, experimentation and collision.

Artists are challenged to meet on the afternoon of performance day at 5pm to discuss their strategies (if any) for the evening's improvisation performance at 8pm. The spontaneity of each unique sharing thus underscores its own ephemerality, for makers and viewers.
