Please join the Lake County Office of Education in our four-day New Teacher Summer Institute where you will engage in building the essential skills to assist you with your teaching in the 2025-2026 school year.
As educators, we understand that focusing on the whole child is essential in building an environment where all students feel like they belong and are part of the learning community. Designing rigorous experiences that connect to the CA content standards, tapping into the students' interests, and creating a natural ownership with one's learning is what we, as educators in Lake County, are striving for.
In this institute you will receive training on classroom procedures and teaching strategies that will help you be prepared to begin the school year.
This institute is required for all Provisional Intern Permit and Short Term Staff Permit (PIP/STSP) holders per the Commission on Teacher Credentialing support requirements.
This event is suggested for interns and teachers new to the profession or new to Lake County.
