Make Baskets, Make Memories

Spend a summer day in the mountains learning something new and a little old-fashioned together! This hands-on class is a great way to share time with your kids or grandkids while trying your hand at the timeless Appalachian skill of basket weaving, led by demonstrator Paula Puckett. You’ll learn the basics of this traditional craft and make your own small basket to take home.

After class, feel free to check out our exhibits and wander on our trails. You might spot wild wineberries or blackberries along the way ~
