How does freedom grow—not just as a right, but as an unfolding communal task? Join Dr. David Breeden for a reflection on Ethical Culture, German Idealism, and the liberal imagination’s enduring work of crafting justice, dignity, and shared possibility.
David Breeden, Ph.D. is a poet, practical theologian, and former Senior Minister of the First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis, a historically Humanist congregation. A long-time public intellectual, he holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, a Ph.D. from the Center for Writers at the University of Southern Mississippi, and an M.Div. from Meadville Lombard Theological School. His work explores the intersections of spirituality, aesthetics, and the human condition. He has published dozens of books, including translations, fiction, philosophy and, mostly, poetry.
This Platform will feature music by Home Remedy, the harmony of Cindy Minnis & Melinda Monroe. Altos, guitar, keyboard, percussion, joy! Original and borrowed music from the 60s, 70s, and beyond.
