"Out of the Woods" presentation with Author Gregg Olsen and Survivor Shasta Groene

Join us for an evening with survivor Shasta Groene and New York Times bestselling true crime author Gregg Olsen as they discuss her story in his gripping new book, "Out of the Woods: A Girl, a Killer, and a Lifelong Struggle to Find the Way Home" (available August 1).

For twenty years, Shasta Groene, the victim of a serial rapist and murderer, has allowed others to shape her narrative—therapists, the media, even her family. She stayed silent as people whispered and snickered, some in awe, others in horror, and labeled her “that girl.” Now, she’s no longer quiet and is proudly claiming the moniker survivor.
