A weekend of trail and mountain running with two nights of accommodation and group meal included for sociable vibes and new connections
Two days of guided trail/mountain running in the beautiful, rugged mountains of Glencoe - with our professional local running guides. Routes offered will depend on the weather but all runners will enjoy the impressive scenery, as we take the 'trail less traveled' through and over the dramatic mountains of the Glencoe National Nature Reserve .
Founders of Girls on Hills, Keri and Nancy, both live in Glencoe and have been guiding group runs in these mountains for over 7 years. As a local mountain leader, Keri also has experience as a Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team volunteer and Nancy has lived in the village and run in these hills for over 35 years. We are proud to call Glencoe our home and enjoy sharing its beauty and history with likeminded women.
Join us for a fully immersive and sociable weekend which includes:
1) Pre-breakfast/night run (short welcome run to the dramatic 5-tier Inchree Falls in Glen Righ)
2) Two days of guided trail or mountain running with our local team of run guides* (max 10 miles)
3) Two comfortable nights at Roam West (2 pers per room) - Friday and Saturday night , with self-catering facilities for breakfast/meals
4) Group evening meal on the Saturday night (two courses) at Roam West with on-site restaurant and local ales on tap!
5) Mystery 'add-on' (wild dip/yoga/beach firepit/speaker)!
6) Donation towards Love the Glen (supported by NatureScot, through the Better Places Green Recovery Fund)
You don't have to run fast or even keep running the whole time - as we'll do plenty of walking! Our ethos is relaxed and supportive. Each day we will have two run groups to suit a range of pace and aspirations. To find out more about what's involved visit: www.girlsonhills.com/faqs
We can sometimes offer a shuttle service for those travelling by public transport and are committed to making your logistics work. We will also encourage lift-sharing whilst in Glencoe, to reduce environmental impact and pressure on busy parking areas.

** Guiding and instruction will be with a Summer Mountain Leader qualified and/or Fell Running Association (FRA) accredited guide. Please note that Girls on Hills guides will amend our intinerary according to the weather and may need to shorten the day if conditions are poor.
