The Gravel Ride Up Spruce Knob (GRUSK) p/b Lauf Cycles is an annual gravel cycling event held in the Monongahela National Forest of West Virginia, centered around Spruce Knob, the state's highest peak at 4,863 feet. The event offers a variety of routes to accommodate all abilities.

Spruce Highlights Tour: 27 or 32 miles
Medio: Approximately 50 miles
Grande: Approximately 89 miles
Venti: Approximately 220 miles (3-day bikepacking route)
Lungo: Approximately 260 miles (3-day bikepacking route)
Trecento: Approximately 312 miles (3-day bikepacking route)
Participants can expect diverse terrain, including paved roads, smooth dirt paths, gravel roads, and unmaintained forest tracks. The event emphasizes a non-competitive, timed Gran Fondo format, allowing riders to challenge themselves without the pressures of traditional racing.
Additional Features:
Camping: Drive-in, primitive camping is available in open meadows near the venue. Dormitory-style lodging is also offered for those seeking indoor accommodations.
Meals: Pre-purchased meal plans are available, including options for Friday dinner and Saturday and Sunday breakfasts.
Activities: The weekend includes live music, a post-race dinner, a charity raffle, shakeout ride led by Lauf Cycles, and campfires on Friday and Saturday nights.
