Local Power, for the People
Community Boards in Ōtautahi Christchurch
Do you believe in decisions being made as much as possible by the people affected by those
decisions? Do you prefer local, flax roots up, to top down centralised power?
Community boards are the most local of our local government decision making bodies.
At this meeting we will hear from members of our city’s community boards; the work they and their
board do, and the opportunities we all have if we work with them. This will be followed by small group facilitated discussions stimulated by what the Community Board members shared & some focus questions.
