About Vincent van Gogh: Vincent Willem van Gogh(March 30th, 1853 – July 29th, 1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. In just over a decade, he created approximately 2,100 artworks, including around 860 oil paintings, most of them in the last two years of his life. His oeuvre includes landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and self-portraits, most of which are characterised by bold colours and dramatic brushwork that contributed to the rise of expressionism in modern art. Van Gogh's work was only beginning to gain critical attention before he died from a self-inflicted gunshot at age 37.
During his lifetime, only one of Van Gogh's paintings, The Red Vineyard, was sold. Van Gogh’s art became astoundingly popular after his death, especially in the late 20th century, when his work sold for record-breaking sums at auctions around the world and was featured in blockbuster touring exhibitions. In part because of his extensive published letters, van Gogh has also been mythologized in the popular imagination as the quintessential tortured artist.

A Message From Loki:
“Brilliant. Troubled. Master. Outcast. Hopeless. Delusional. Pioneer. Privileged. Destitute. Obsessed. Misguided. Visionary. Madman. Genius. Devout. Pig. Dangerous. Hero...All words that have been used to describe a man who lived a life of extremes. Vincent’s passion led him to live a truly extraordinary life of service that remains an evergreen example of what is possible when we dedicate ourselves to achieving our highest calling. His work has inspired generations of artists, and in no small way helped to rewrite the course of art history as we know it. That’s why, 6 years and 3 productions later, I’m still here telling his story. Please join me as we get to know the real Vincent van Gogh.”
