HIV & STI Free Testing Event

In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, Butte County Public Health (BCPH) will offer free, confidential, rapid testing for HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis C from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 2080 E 20th St., Suite 180, in Chico. Testing will take place in the Public Health Mobile Medical Unit, located on the South side of the building.

Testing is open to everyone 12 years and older. No ID or health insurance is needed. Results will be available within 30 minutes, and gift cards will be provided while supplies last. Anyone who tests positive will be connected to confirmatory testing and treatment through local medical providers.

Who should get tested?
• HIV: Everyone aged 13–64 at least once; more often if at higher risk
• Syphilis: All sexually active people at least once; more often if at higher risk
• Hepatitis C: All adults 18 and older at least once and all pregnant women with each pregnancy; more often if at risk

You may need more frequent testing if you:
• Have more than one sexual partner
• Don’t know your partner’s sexual history
• Have sex without a condom
• Are a man who has sex with men
• Inject drugs or share needles
