Claire is a dedicated and passionate guardian of many horses and she has worked with them for more than 20 years, studying and practicing Natural Horsemanship. She holds a diploma and is a qualified instructor in Applied Equine Behaviour. She is also an Equine Assisted Qualification (EAQ) Facilitator.
Working with her specially selected equine co-facilitators, in the natural environment, equine therapy uses the unique ability of horses to observe and read the emotions of those around them. The horses will be drawn to different people in the same way as they may be drawn to different horses. The process is allowed to happen organically by simply sharing space and waiting for the interaction or lack of interaction to happen.
When a horse makes a connection, you can't escape it. It's a genuine connection, and in our world where there are so many connections that are not genuine, you will feel it. The work she does with horses is very real and creates deep connections between horse and human.
*This practice blends movement, mindfulness, and music to create space for self-discovery and awareness. Rooted in the belief that through movement, we remember our essence as wise, wild, and free, Qoya encourages you to meet yourself just as you are and leave feeling a little bit more of who you are.
Each session is a unique journey, woven from various elements like yoga, dance, and guided movement. By tapping in to and listening to the wisdom of your body, you are invited to express yourself without judgment, allowing emotions to flow and insights to surface naturally.
Whilst each pillar offers a movement invitation for you to follow if you wish, be it circling, shaking or yoga, there is no need for perfection. The focus is on feeling rather than form, honouring yourself where you are in the moment and moving in ways that feel true and right for you, allowing accessibility and inclusivity in this practice. It invites you to meet all parts of yourself - heart, mind, body and soul, as invited, welcomed and embraced.
