'Friends of Fishbourne School' (Fishbourne School PTA) are delighted to announce that the Fishbourne Scarecrow Trail is returning this year planning to be bigger and better than ever! *SAVE THE DATE* - October half term (Monday 27th October until Sunday 2nd November)!
We are excited to announce that this year the theme is 'The Magic of Disney (and other animated films)' and we are super-proud to be fundraising jointly for Fishbourne School and St Wilfrid's Hospice.
We are looking for scarecrows...lots of them, last year we had 83 all over the village and, this year, we would LOVE to break the 100 barrier! Please email us at

If this is the first year you have done it, please include your full name, address, which character you'd like to do (maybe include a second and third choice in case your first is taken) and a screenshot on a map of where your scarecrow will be. Also, let us know if you have children at Fishbourne school as it helps for giving out the entry packs. Entry deadline Sunday 12th October.
How does a scarecrow trail work?
You come to Fishbourne in half term week, pick up a map/entry form from one of our local businesses (to be confirmed closer to the time - keep an eye on this page) and set off walking around the village finding scarecrows on the way and seeing if you can tell who they are. Fill in your answers on the form and, when done, drop it back to one of the businesses or the school to be in with a chance of winning a prize!
We will be giving out prize hampers for 'Kids' Favourite scarecrow' and 'Grown-ups' favourite scarecrow' (as voted for by you on your forms) and also, for trail-goers for 'Most correct answers' and a 'Lucky Pick'.
Prizes so far already include yummy treat hampers, pub vouchers, wine, Tesco vouchers and a boat trip voucher courtesy of brilliant local businesses (Thank you to Scarterfields, Tesco, The Woolpack pub, and Chichester Harbour Conservancy). We would love more prizes to fill out the hampers so please let us know if you would kindly be able to donate.
We would love to see you there for this fun, community half-term activity for all the family...and help us raise money for these two brilliant causes at the same time.
