Join YCP Chicago in a special volunteering event with Mission of Our Lady of the Angels (OLA) in Humboldt Park! Volunteers will help with packing and distributing backpacks, playing games with kids, serving food, assisting at the evangelization table, and/or spending time in prayer during adoration.
Event Information: Mission OLA is expecting around 1,500 neighbors to attend this festive, block party-style event! All children will receive free backpacks and school supplies. Guests can enjoy hot dogs, chips, and ice cream served party-style, along with tons of games, prizes, a petting zoo, and a health fair. There will also be an evangelization table and opportunities for adoration throughout the day.
What to bring: Please bring as little as possible. If you need to carry personal items, opt for a fanny pack or something you can wear securely. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own water bottles.
What to wear: Dress for the weather. It will likely be hot, so light, breathable clothing is recommended.
Lunch: Hot dogs, chips, ice cream, and drinks will be available during the service event.

824 N. Hamlin Ave.
We should not use 900 N. Avers Ave. (grass lot) on the day of the event.
