We have a tripartite festival today to contemplate and celebrate. The offering of first fruits to the Great Spirit and honoring Lleu Law Gyffes & Gwydion for Lammas. Second, a meditation on the star Sirius, and the FOI liturgy features Goddess Neith, primeval Egyptian embodiment of Creation, Creatrix of the Universe and all existence, and the daily rebirth of the sun and all life.
We meet at Life Force Arts Center, 1609 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL, 60657. Free parking is available around the corner in the bank lot at 3148 N. Ashland Ave. Get a parking pass at LFAC to put in your car.
Doors open at 2:00 PM for fellowship. Readings and music for Lammas and Lleu Law Gyffes begins at 3 PM. The Star Sirus Meditation is at 3:30 PM. The circle and the FOI liturgy are at 3:45 PM, followed by refreshments and conversation. We’ll talk about the upcoming 32nd Annual Autumn Goddess Festival (Oct. 10 & 11, 2025) too. The gathering ends at 6 PM.
The liturgy is the second from the FOI liturgical booklet, Urania, Ceremonial Magic of the Goddess, by Olivia Robertson, a founder of the FOI. The rite is “Time Magic - Oracle of the Goddess Neith”.
