In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn to identify and harvest ~20 wild edible plants of late spring in South Chicago. Participants will learn about safe and responsible foraging practices, and about the role of foraging in its cultural and ecological context. This workshop happens on-the-move, so come ready to do some walking.
This event is family-friendly and LGTBQ-friendly. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Restrooms and parking are not readily accessible, but the event location is within easy walking distance of the University of Chicago campus.
