June Blues Breakaway
Blues dancing has deep roots in the music. We’ve just spent hours listening and dancing to these roots at the Chicago Blues Festival and the May Live Music Bluetopia. Let’s keep the music at the heart of our dancing.

In this workshop you will learn how to let the music take over your dancing. You’ll learn simple movements to respond to the music and inspire your dance partners. Be ready to listen, move, breakaway, call, and respond in this workshop.

Who is Bob Bednarz?
Bob has been inspiring dancers to be inspired by the music for 20+ years. He started dancing because he loved the music. You’ve seen him DJ’ing and doing live sound for bands, but did you know Bob used to regularly teach blues dancing too? Bob is focused on perfecting the basic, simple movements that can make the biggest impact on your dancing. Find him after class or at a future Bluetopia to nerd out about all things music.
