Chris O’Leary took a moment between songs to talk about a friend and true musician Doug Deming. He said, “You gotta get Doug and The Jewel Tones to Meadow Blues.” So we did.

Doug Deming is the real deal. An Eastside Detroit native now rooted in Florida’s Gulf Coast, Doug brings a sound shaped by legends—T-Bone Walker, Charlie Christian, Luther Tucker, Robert Jr. Lockwood—and puts his own unmistakable stamp on it. Whether he’s swinging on a big jazz box or tearing it up on a solid-body Fender, Doug plays with soul, skill, and serious style.
