September is in the air, but the water is still warm! As the sun sets earlier, WE ARE GETTING IN THE WATER EVEN EARLIER. Join us for another Meech & Mingle! This is a relaxed social swim that welcomes open water swimmers of a variety of skill levels. We’ll swim a minimum of 800m, and are expecting water temperatures around 19-20degrees C. Weather looks like it may be sunny and hot for this swim. The swim will go ahead unless the weather is dangerous (e.g. extremely poor air quality, a torrential downpour, thunderstorms or winds more than 30km/h - a post in this event and in the OOWS chats by 5:00pm day of will confirm if the swim is cancelled, if there is no post, the swim is on!).
Bring a tow float and a brightly coloured cap to wear (required for all NCC open water swimming).
Meet at the beach at 6:00pm, and feet in the water at 6:15pm sharp.
Free parking at P11, just make sure to leave yourself about 10 minutes to walk to the beach. Bring a snack to share for after the swim.
