En l'honneur de la vérité et de la réconciliation, l'artiste crie métisse et résidente de La Fab, Amanda Pierce, invite la communauté à une journée consacrée à l'art comme ressourcement. Ensemble, les participants créeront des œuvres en plumes, chacune imprégnée d'histoire, d'intention et de soin, qui seront attachées aux arbres près de La Fab comme un cadeau à la forêt. La journée sera également marquée par les récits poignants et la danse du cerceau de Makhena Rankin Guerin, artiste bispirituelle anishinaabe-algonquine, au rythme du tambour et de chants qui transmettent les voix de génération en génération. Ce rassemblement est à la fois une célébration créative et un espace de commémoration, de résilience et de reconnexion entre les gens, la culture et la terre.

In honour of Truth and Reconciliation, Cree-Métis artist and La Fab resident Amanda Pierce will invite the community into a day of art as healing. Together, participants will create feather bundles—each infused with story, intention, and care—to be tied to the trees beside La Fab as a gift to the forest. The day will also feature the powerful storytelling and hoop dancing of Makhena Rankin Guerin, a Two-Spirit Anishinaabe/Algonquin artist, accompanied by the heartbeat of the drum and songs that carry voices across generations. This gathering is both a creative celebration and a space of remembrance, resilience, and reconnection between people, culture, and the land.
